Roel van der Heijde lives in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He has a MA in International Business, is an international acknowledged NLP trainer and a certified death and grief counsellor.

Roel expands the knowledge regarding fear reduction by training caregivers in several hospitals and nursing homes in The Netherlands, a/o The Rotterdam Eye Hospital.

Established in 1874, The Rotterdam Eye Hospital is a Center of Excellence and the leading hospital in the field of ophthalmology in The Netherlands. The Hospital achieves medical excellence and maintains high quality business operations through its specific approach to patients. The focus of this approach is rooted in its philosophy to reduce patient anxiety. Since 2006 Roel works for the Rotterdam Eye Hospital as a senior consultant, trainer and confidential counsellor in fear reduction.
